Third Base is one of the thinnest positions on the diamond with much of the players with high standardized rate rankings bring the result of small sample size. Though if some of the younger players with small sample sizes maintain levels near how they finished the 2010 season there is some hope for the future at third base as a deep position. Then agian there are the Brandon Woods of the world who were given plenty of opportunity but failed to even remotely make anything of the opportunity.
