Due to the fact that I just recently decided to begin writing this blog and it is December, this blog is going to start off with a series of posts pertaining to the 2010 final MLB fantasy rankings. The first post will be the overall ranking of the first basemen. These rankings were obtained using standardized rates at which players achieve the standard rotisserie categories of batting average, runs, home runs, runs batted in, and stolen bases. The requirements for being ranked are a minimum of 50 plate appearances during the 2010 season.
And on to the rankings:
Player | Team | nT Rank | Player | Team | nT Rank | |
CIN | 2 | OAK | 228 | |||
STL | 3 | TB | 231 | |||
DET | 8 | TOR | 245 | |||
CHW | 13 | ATL | 250 | |||
BOS | 20 | NYY | 259 | |||
MIN | 25 | BAL | 261 | |||
SF | 37 | 277 | ||||
PHI | 43 | SF | 312 | |||
SD | 51 | SEA | 327 | |||
ANA | 66 | ARI | 329 | |||
WAS | 72 | KC | 334 | |||
NYY | 87 | 361 | ||||
ARI | 117 | CHC | 365 | |||
PHI | 118 | CLE | 392 | |||
121 | CHW | 397 | ||||
128 | PHI | 414 | ||||
MIL | 129 | SEA | 421 | |||
MIN | 131 | PIT | 424 | |||
KC | 135 | HOU | 450 | |||
ANA | 150 | NYM | 456 | |||
NYM | 162 | 468 | ||||
LA | 171 | CLE | 476 | |||
ATL | 175 | BAL | 482 | |||
SEA | 187 | BAL | 486 | |||
PIT | 200 | CHC | 487 |
Since these rankings are based off of rates, you may notice that some names seem out of place in the ranks such as Kendry Morales, and Ross Gload. These rankings are more a demonstration of where players would rank if all batters had exactly 600 PA. The nT Rank in this case is the ranking among all batters that are eligible.
Note: This ranking system is a work in progress and is subject to change prior to the 2011 season draft projections. Teams and stats accurate as of 12/1/10.
